Karate Calendar: December 2010.

Merry Christmas from West Hill.

The last training session before Christmas will be Tuesday 21st December. We will be returning on Tuesday 4th January. We will be holding a raffle, drinks and presentation on this evening so we will start at 7pm and finish at 9:30pm. Juniors will leave at 8:15pm. If all students could attend the first half please. From myself and the other instructors at the club we all wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Christmas raffle!!

We are selling raffle tickets, £1 a strip with lots of prizes to be won from chocolates, syllabus books, badges and a GI. Please get them when you sign in. The draw will be done on the last training session before Christmas.

Licence and yearly membership renewals.

Just to let everyone know that ALL LICENCES will need renewing as they all run out on the 1st January 2011, so please can you start making arrangements with the secretary to renew them. Also yearly membership will need to be renewed in January. I am giving you all lots of notice. Seniors are £35 and juniors are £25.

West Hill Hoodies.

We are selling hoodies. They are £20 for adults and £16 for juniors. The designing of the tops is still on going but if you would like to order one please see Senpai Leeann for details.

End of year newsletter.

Dear All,

A big thank you from Senpai John and Senpai Leeann for another fantastic year.

Over the past year we have seen Aimee Owen blossom into a strong, confident yet elegant fighter. Aimee has fought in many tournaments this year and to my knowledge has picked up first place in most if not all.

Aimee competed in England V Wales first knockdown and won. Then took of to Belgium with her brother Senpai Matt who entered into his first senior knockdown and both came back with first places. We can’t tell you how proud the club is of you both. OUS!

We have had 100% pass rate in gradings held this year.

Due to members dropping and increase of hall rent we had to change the location of our Dojo and I know its not the same as the school hall BUT it’s about us training together as we always do as a team. So thank you for all who may not of liked the change but have stuck with it.

For those of you who train over at the Bexhill, there will be no training tonight, Friday 3rd December, due to the continued severe weather conditions.
