National Clicker Tournament and Club Competition Results.
The West Hill Kyokushinkai Karate Club would like to thank all the fighters, supporters and instructors who traveled to the Rivermead Leisure Centre in Reading for the National Clicker Tournament on 29th November. The club had a fantastic turnout from our members, and after a long day took a placed position in five different categories.
Congratulations goes to Kate, who came 3rd in the senior women’s category, Aimee, who came 3rd in the junior girls category, Mollie who came 2nd in the junior girls category undefeated (she was not allowed to fight in the final due to injury) and Caitlyn, who fought fantastically the whole day and took home 1st place in her junior girls category. Mollie, Aimee and Caitlyn also took third place in the junior team competition.
The West Hill Kyokushinkai Karate Club would also like to thank all the members and parents who turned up to our club competition on December 1st where food, drinks, raffle tickets and DVD’s were on sale, all to help support the club. The event was a great success and the fighting was top quality.

George places third in knockdown, undefeated.
The West Hill Kyokushinkai Karate Club would like to give a big congratulation to George, who recently represented the club in a novice knockdown tournament at the K2 in Crawley. George had three successful fights against tough competition before having to pull out due to injury. He placed third out of seven, undefeated. Well done George!
Congratulations Matt and Mollie!
The West Hill Kyokushinkai Karate Club would like to give a big congratulation to Mollie Milton and Matt Owen, who travelled to Switzerland last weekend to represent England. Mollie came first in her category, while Matt dominated in his first two rounds before unfortunately being caught in the head with a Jodan Mawashi Geri. Matt and Mollie will be fighting again in Holland in a few weeks time, and everyone at the club wish them luck.

West Hill Clicker Tournament – 9th March 2008.
The instructors at West Hill would like to give a big thanks to everyone who made our small Clicker (and club Knockdown) tournament a success. Thanks to the efforts of all the fighters, referees, parents and those selling food and raffling prizes, we managed to raise enough money to help Matt and Molly fight abroad. Thank you for all your support and we hope you enjoyed the evening.
Congratulations Sempai Lucy and Kate!
Congratulations are in order for both Sempai Lucy and Kate, who came away from the Kata tournament held on Saturday 8th March with silverware. Sempai Lucy came in a very respectable third place in her black belt division, while Kate achieved second place in the green belt category. Well done to everyone who took part in the competition, and a special thanks to the Sempai’s who spent their own free time coaching our members.
